Keeping Your Toilet Functioning

We’ve all had a moment where we had a plumbing emergency, either when the toilet clogged up or it wouldn’t fill like it was supposed to. That being said, what can we do in order to ensure that we aren’t in need of toilet repair? Here are some tips you can use.

  • Make sure that your vents are clear. You need air to flow through your toilet pipes to make sure that you don’t end up with a clogged up drain, so get on your roof and get out all of the leaves and such so a problem doesn’t happen.
  • Flush all of the toilets in your home at the same time about one time a month. That way, you clear out the air and debris that may be stuck in your lines, and then you won’t have to worry about your sump pumps or other parts of the pipes having issues with backing up.
  • Get rooter service performed on your system on a regular basis (once a year at the very least). Rooter service is where a professional cleans out your pipes and checks them to make sure that there aren’t any clogs, cracks, or other issues going on inside of them. That way, they can keep working as they’re supposed to.

If you take care of your toilet, it’s going to work for you as it should, and you won’t have to call us to take care of your plumbing in Little Rock, Arkansas, quite as often as you would have otherwise.
